Announcement on Change in Management

May 2023 – Press Release ALTENLOH BRINCK & CO – Group

In May 2023, Mr Nikolas Dicke was appointed chair of the Management Board of ALTENLOH BRINCK & CO – Group. Mr Dicke has been a managing partner of the family-owned company’s holding since 2018 and most recently managed the business in the USA. Christian Abke, Technical Director of the SPAX unit for the past 5 years, is also being appointed to the Group’s Management Board. Furthermore, Michael Salzig, CFO, also serves as a member of the Management Board.

As part of these organisational changes, Frank Haberstroh will be leaving the group and stepping down from his post as CEO by mutual agreement. Mr Haberstroh has been successfully repositioning the Group since 2013. Its investments in the automotive industry have been reduced, and a digital transformation has been started focussing on the growth markets of DIY, eCommerce and timber construction. The Advisory Board and the shareholders extend their thanks to Mr Haberstroh for his extraordinary dedication and his valuable contribution to advancing the company and wish the new Management Board every success.

Through its SPAX brand, the ALTENLOH BRINCK & CO – Group is the market leader in universal screws, producing more than 10 billion SPAX each year in its plants in Ennepetal, Gevelsberg and Bryan, Ohio, USA. Alongside SPAX, in North America this innovative Group is one of the leading manufacturers of fixing systems for flat roofs and cladding through its Trufast brand. The third business unit, Sabeu, manufactures plastic components and diaphragms for medical engineering and other markets at its plants in Northeim und Radeberg.
This family-owned company will be celebrating its 200th anniversary this year and currently employs 1,400 people.
